What's in the Backpacks Range

With more than 160 products, this is one of the largest categories on the site. GFL Bags leads on volume, alongside AS Colour's recycled range — where each style states exactly what it diverts, from around 16 plastic bottles on the Backpack and Strap Backpack up to 21 on the Travel Backpack. The commuter and travel tier is deep: the Samsonite Xenon 3.0 31L and High Sierra Everclass 24L both with 15.6-inch laptop compartments, the High Sierra Extension 39L with a 17-inch compartment and safety hammock, the Trekk Alpine 42L, the Wander & Roam Travel Backpack with flat-opening main compartment, and the Stormtech Hudson Travel Pack that converts from computer pack to overnight bag. Premium and anti-theft options come from Bellroy, Swissdigital, XD Design, Elleven, Osprey and Thule, with further styles from BrandCharger, Dubarry, Titleist, EXTON, Arctic Zone, Aussie Pacific, Darani and smpli.

Choosing a Backpack

Start with capacity. Around 8 to 15 litres is a daypack for a laptop and a lunch; 20 to 30 litres is the standard commuter size and the safest default for a mixed team; 35 litres and above moves into travel territory, where a pack can work as carry-on for an overnight trip. Then match the laptop compartment to the largest machine in the group — 15.6 inches covers most corporate-issue devices, with 17-inch options available for design, engineering and finance teams. Beyond that, the features worth specifying are the ones people notice on the second week: a padded and suspended laptop sleeve that holds the machine off the base of the bag, a roll-top or flat-opening main compartment for easier packing, anti-theft zips and RFID pockets for commuters and travellers, and a luggage pass-through strap for anyone who flies.

Sustainability and Branding

Thirty products carry a Recycled flag and three carry the AWARE™ tracer, which allows recycled content to be verified by scanning the finished bag rather than taken on trust. Materials run from 70% and 80% recycled polyester through 75% recycled nylon, 300D RPET and 100% recycled post-consumer polyester, plus 270gsm cotton among the natural-material options. Several AS Colour styles state their bottle-diversion figure per bag, which is a far more persuasive line in a proposal than a general eco claim. On branding, embroidery is the most durable choice and holds up through years of daily use, while screen printing and digital transfer handle larger, full-colour artwork on technical fabrics. Front panels and pocket faces are the usual placements — our team will recommend the panel that suits the pack's construction.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can backpacks be branded with my logo? Yes — every product in this category can be custom branded. Embroidery is the most durable option and the usual choice for premium packs, while screen printing and digital transfer suit technical fabrics and larger full-colour artwork. Our team will recommend the best method and placement for the style you choose.
  • What size backpack should I order? Around 8 to 15 litres is a daypack, 20 to 30 litres is the standard commuter size and the safest default for a mixed team, and 35 litres and above works for travel and overnight use. If you're ordering for a group and can't survey everyone, a 20 to 30 litre pack with a 15.6-inch laptop compartment suits the widest range of people.
  • What size laptop will fit? Most packs in this range take a 15.6-inch laptop, which covers the great majority of corporate-issue machines. Larger options exist — the High Sierra Extension 39L and Trekk Alpine 42L both hold 17-inch laptops. Match the compartment to the biggest machine in the group rather than the average.
  • What is a laptop safety hammock? A safety hammock is a suspended laptop sleeve that holds the machine away from the base of the bag rather than resting against it. If the pack is set down hard or dropped, the impact is absorbed by the bag instead of transferring into the laptop. The High Sierra Extension 39L uses one.
  • Are there anti-theft backpacks? Yes — several styles conceal or reverse their zips so they can't be opened while worn, position the main compartment against the wearer's back, and use cut-resistant fabric. Others include RFID-blocking pockets that stop contactless cards being read electronically. Both are worth specifying for staff who commute on public transport or travel regularly.
  • Do you have recycled backpacks? Yes — 30 products carry a Recycled flag, using materials from 70% and 80% recycled polyester through to 100% recycled post-consumer polyester, RPET and recycled nylon. Three styles carry the AWARE™ tracer, which allows recycled content to be independently verified. Several AS Colour packs state the number of plastic bottles diverted per bag — up to 21 on the Travel Backpack.
  • What is the minimum order quantity for backpacks? Minimums vary widely. Some premium bags start at just 1 unit, several styles from 10, and most volume options at 25. The exact minimum order quantity is confirmed on each individual product page.
  • Can I see an artwork proof before production? Yes — twice over. You can Design & Create your own mockup instantly on any product page to see your logo on the product before you even request a quote. Then, once your order is confirmed, Supply Crew provides a detailed artwork proof for your approval — placement, size and finish — before production begins.
  • How long do custom backpack orders take? Custom orders typically take 2–4 weeks for production and delivery, depending on the styles selected, the branding method and order volume. Our team will confirm an exact turnaround estimate once your order and artwork are finalised — worth planning ahead for onboarding intakes and end-of-year gifting.
